En medio de las recrudecidas tensiones entre Irán y Estados Unidos por la renovada colaboración del país persa con Venezuela en materia petrolera, el presidente de la Asamblea Nacional, Juan Guaidó, a quien 50 países reconocen como mandatario legítimo, desestima el impacto real de este primer envío de combustibles.
Juan Guaidó, en entrevista con Diálogo Interamericano citada por Argus Media, dijo que los cinco cargamentos en ruta a Venezuela equivalen a solo unos 20 días de demanda, con el nivel de consumo deprimida actual, y solo dos días en tiempos normales.
Cinco petroleros que recientemente cargaron en Irán ahora han salido del Mediterráneo hacia Venezuela, comenzando con Fortune con bandera iraní y seguido por Forest, Petunia, Faxon y Clavel, según muestran los datos de seguimiento del envío.

La vicepresidenta Ejecutiva de la República, Delcy Rodríguez, informó este jueves que en las últimas 24 horas se registraron un total de 58 nuevos casos de Covid-19 en Venezuela, para elevar la cifra total de contagios a 882.
Tras una reunión de la Comisión Presidencial para la Prevención, Atención y Control del Coronavirus detalló que la cifra de pacientes recuperados se ubica en 262, para una tasa de 29,7% del total de contagios.
Precisó que 22 de los casos son nacionales, 6 son por transmisión comunitaria, mientras que 16 son por contacto con viajeros internacionales, de éstos últimos 14 son funcionarios policiales que atendían el cerco sanitario en Santa Elena de Uairén en el estado Bolívar y dos son parte del personal médico en la misma zona fronteriza.
Por otro lado, 36 casos son importados, de los cuales 14 provenientes de Colombia, uno ingresó por el Puesto de Atención Social Integral (PASI) del estado Apure y 13 lo hicieron por el PASI del estado Táchira; otros 11 proveniente de Brasil, todos ingresaron por el PASI del estado Bolívar; 11 provenientes de Ecuador que fueron repatriados en un vuelo humanitario que llegó directamente al cordón sanitario del estado Lara.
Señaló que 303 casos importados provienen de Colombia, 65 de Brasil, 49 de Perú, 35 de Ecuador, 29 de España, 10 de República Dominicana y la lista continúa con cifras más bajas.
Rodríguez confirmó que a la fecha hay 610 casos activos, de los cuales 284 reciben atención en hospitales, 310 en Centros de Diagnóstico Integral (CDI), 16 en clínicas privadas y la cifra de fallecidos se mantiene en 10.
Según la Comisión Presidencial para el Control y Prevención de la Covid-19, de los 882 casos detectados a la fecha, 246 son de transmisión comunitaria, 126 por contacto con viajeros en el exterior y 510 casos son importados, lo que equivales a 58% del total de los casos.
Sobre la condición actual de los 610 casos activos, añadió que 504 están asintomáticos, 101 presentan insuficiencia respiratoria leve, 3 insuficiencia respiratoria moderada y 2 pacientes se encuentran en situación grave, ingresados en terapia intensiva.
La Vicepresidenta Ejecutiva informó que hasta este jueves en el país se han aplicado 697.691 pruebas de despistaje de la Covid-19, lo que equivale a 23.256 pruebas por millón de habitantes.
También dio a conocer que a la fecha un total de 45.905 compatriotas han ingresado al país a través de los puestos fronterizos donde se ha desplegado un estricto cerco epidemiológico de los cuales 510 han dado positivo al nuevo coronavirus.
Adicionalmente han ingresado 90 personas a través de vuelos humanitarios de los cuales, un total de 18 han dado positivo a la Covid-19.
Calificó como muy positiva la evolución del control de la pandemia en el territorio nacional y que el mayor peligro de contagio se registra en los connacionales que ingresan al país. En ese sentido, reiteró la denuncia sobre las intenciones del Gobierno de Iván Duque de tratar de diseminar el virus en el país a través del ingreso de connacionales.

A través de una videoconferencia con el dirigente chileno, Sebastián Piñera, quien actualmente preside el organismo, los países miembros de Prosur manifestaron su preocupación ante la crisis económica que enfrenta el territorio por causa de la pandemia.
Frente a un panorama turbio, los representantes principales de cada nación anunciaron la creación de un grupo de trabajo conformado por los ministerios de Hacienda de los países suramericanos que forman parte del bloque.
De igual modo, los miembros de Prosur plantearon garantizar el avance en la repatriación de conciudadanos que quedaron varados en países extranjeros y en la reapertura de las fronteras, en el momento considerado como oportuno, con las precauciones sanitarias necesarias.
La crisis sanitaria generada a partir del Covid-19 abrió paso a una contracción del 5,2% del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) en la economía de América del Sur en 2020. Según el último informe emitido por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (Cepal), esto se debe a que las exportaciones de la zona se verán duramente afectadas por la caída de la actividad de China.
La organización, destinada a favorecer la integración suramericana como reemplazo de la Unión de Naciones Suramericanas, está conformada por Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay y Perú. En sus encuentros también participan Bolivia y Uruguay.
Venezuela se encuentra excluida de dicha estructura debido a diferencias políticas con algunos países conservadores que pertenecen al sistema.
